We were approached by a company who manufactured glider trailers as the bare steel / aluminium shells were condensating, causing a potential risk to electronic flight equipment in the gliders. Our solution was to coat the inside of the glider trailers with a 15mm thickness of foam to act as a vapour barrier, this prevented the water vapour in the air from making contact with the cold steel and condensating.
The company is very happy with the results, and we are expecting more trailers and an ongoing relationship with the manufacturer because of the success of the first trailers.
